I like a simple layout idea, whether it’s my own or a scraplift from someone else. This one shows some spring flowers that have popped up now winter is past.
Isn’t it amazing what a few days of sunshine does for the garden at this time of year? The grass is beginning to shout, “Cut me! Cut me!”; cherry trees, which had only recently started showing signs of new growth, suddenly burst into blossom; magnolia, azalea and rhododendron are bursting to life all around. I love it! I wanted an icy background implying winter to contrast with the life and vibrancy of the spring flowers and colors. The large label opacity was reduced so you can see the background paper peaking through. Other than that everything was used without change.
