Rena’s scrapbooking layout of the Lakes uses some beautiful images.
Rena is a retired lady who enjoys painting but hadn’t tried scrapbooking before.
She arrived at our scrapbook workshop with a selection of postcards she loved of the Lakes. Rena initially thought of using only the small images in a few scrapbooking layouts, but finally settled on one large postcard and a selection of tiny ones all together.
She mounted the large postcard on gold paper to echo the sunset and added a strip of the same paper onto which she fixed the mini photos. The black cardstock is seen.
The title is made with circular alphabet tiles from a HOTP book. The flowers were chosen to match the colors in the photos.
This layout was Rena’s own idea.
Multiple photo layouts like this are great when you have lots of photographs of one place or from one trip. Rena used professional photographs here, but this kind of layout can also be a great way to use photos that may not be the best quality, for when you include lots of photos you can cut out the best bits to use.
Some of the products used are:
- Paper and card from the Paper Mill
- Alphabet tiles from HOTP
- Die cut flowers

We think Rena’s scrapbooking layout of the Lakes is a very successful first attempt. Do you not think so?
