This scrapbook layout is the first of two layouts based around a recent visit to The Cocoa Bean Factory.
The layouts are quite different and have not been created as a two-page spread. However, by using the same background and title font or chipboard letters you get a unified effect. They can therefore sit safely on opposite pages in your scrapbook album.
My friend Valerie invited me to join her last week as she and some friends from church went to chocaholics heaven – a visit to the chocolate factory. As you would expect, there were lots of chocolates, (pity you cannot see my huge grin … then again, maybe its better you can’t, lol!) It was a great evening. I’ll tell you more about it tomorrow.
Take a closer look
You can’t quite see it in the photograph, but Valerie is copying the Cocoa Bean … even to sticking her tongue out!
If you are new to digital scrapbooking and want to know how to make the page frame there are instructions here. The oval around the title is made the same way using the elliptical marquee tool.
Paper scrappers can get a similar effect if you de-boss an oval cardstock shape. If you do this by hand, rub the surface with some candle wax to make the job easier. Position your chipboard letters on top of the de-bossed card.
I’ll be back tomorrow with a second helping of chocolate – I mean, scrapbook layout.
