Scrapbooking Kits – Why So Popular?

SEI Scrapbook in a Box - Spring

Scrapbooking kits are so popular because a kit takes the guess work out of making successful layouts for most of us. They deal with our fear of choosing things that don’t work together and time to get them.

We want to make beautiful scrapbook pages but we are not all designers, so having someone collate scrap booking supplies that work together takes the fear out it.

We want to make elegant layouts but don’t have the time to trudge around all the stores in town or several towns to get the choice we want. We probably don’t have more than one or two stores to choose from in our area anyway.

Plus in many cases a kit means scrapbooking supplies to our door, or for a digital scrapbook, right to our computer!

Basic choice:

  • Membership of a club, or
  • Kits you can buy at any time

And these are available as

  • Digital kits, or
  • Paper kits

What’s on the market?

  • Monthly kits which will vary in size based on the price you pay
  • Product kits which can be centered on a manufacturer
  • Book kits which are usually only paper products but you can use your ingenuity to add dimension
  • Theme kits which are baby, birthday, wedding, military, seasonal, topic, etc
  • Page kits – this seems to be just another term for any of the above. (If I’ve got this wrong please correct me in the comments at the end. Thanks.)
